LightXtreme VPN Privacy Notice
This policy sets out what LightXtreme VPN collects while you use our website, apps and services, what we do with it, and how you stay in control of your own information. The first rule is restraint: we take what the service needs and nothing about you beyond it, we do not trade in your data, and when the policy has to change we say so on the website rather than quietly rewriting it.
1. What gets collected
Account and plan information
Registering an account or buying a plan means we record your email address, your order and payment details, the number of devices on the plan and the date the plan expires. Those details identify your account, open the service and let us handle support properly.
Connection records from the client
For stable connections and for tracking down faults, the client writes short-lived connection logs such as the node you connected to, the time of the connection and any error codes. No browsing content, account password or viewing history is included, and the logs are never used to build a profile of what you visit.
Traffic data from the website
Visiting the site brings us technical information such as your browser, device model, language, the page you came from and the time of the visit, which we use for traffic counts and to make the pages work better. Our statistics script may set a cookie to measure visits, and you can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time.
2. Why the data is used
Everything we collect serves a short list of purposes: activating and looking after your subscription, running encrypted connections and keeping their quality high, dealing with refunds and support requests, stopping abuse and fraud, and improving the product and the website.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising profiles or marketing lists, except where the law requires it, where you have authorised it explicitly, or where it is needed to complete a payment that you started yourself.
3. Third parties
Payments run through channels such as Alipay, WeChat Pay, UnionPay, credit cards, PayPal, Google Play and Stripe, and the information you hand over at checkout is handled by those providers under their own privacy rules. To keep the service working the client connects to servers we operate, your traffic travels through an encrypted tunnel, and the operators of those nodes never read what you are actually visiting.
Keeping data safe in transit
Data in transit is protected with Shadowsocks, Vless and WireGuard encryption and algorithms such as AES-256-GCM, and the account actions you make between the website and the client travel over HTTPS as well.
4. Retention and your rights
Account and subscription records are held for as long as the service runs and for a limited stretch afterwards, for support and compliance reasons, while connection logs are kept only long enough to investigate a problem. You can write to the service email to ask for an export, a correction or the deletion of your personal information, and once an account is closed the related personal data is deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period.
For younger users
The service is meant for adults. If you have not reached the legal age of majority where you live, please read this policy with a guardian and use the service only once they have agreed to it.
When the policy changes
We may revise this policy as the product develops, and every updated version is published on this website. Keeping on with LightXtreme VPN means you accept the policy as it stands at that moment.
